Dr Alok Sharma

Dr Alok Sharma is a consultant neonates with 2 decades of experience in simulation and human factors training. He is certified in healthcare simulation education by the society of simulation healthcare. He is the founding member and director of MPROvE and his principal areas of interest are cascading medical error and risk through in situ simulation, barriers to the uptake of simulation by multidisciplinary teams and identification of latent threat. He has developed all the courses run by the MPROvE Academy.

Dr Ranjit Gunda

Dr Ranjit Gunda is a Consultant Neonatologist at Ahalya hospital Abu Dhabi. He is lead instructor on the Simulation Instructor course.

Dr Gunda has trained in neonatal intensive care in India and the UK. He has completed a research project on the parental perception towards therapeutic hypothermia. His research interest is the use of simulation as quality improvement methodology in patient safety and risk.

Dr Jasim Shihab

Dr Jasim Shihab is a Consultant Neonatologist at Lancashire Woman and Newborn Centre, East Lancashire NHS Trust. Dr Shihab has trained and worked in neonatal intensive care in Bangalore, Chennai and Trivandrum in India and Medway, Aberdeen and London in the United Kingdom.

He has keen interest in simulation. He was the trainee lead for simulation when working for the Royal London Neonatal Unit. He is currently the neonatal simulation lead for the East Lancashire NHS trust. Jasim has a special interest in moulage, manikin modification and difficult neonatal airway management.

Dr Abhijit Bhattacharya

Dr. Abhijit Bhattacharya currently works as Senior clinical fellow in Princess Royal Maternity Hospital, Glasgow, UK. He is an experienced and highly skilled Neonatologist with over 9 years of work experience in India and the UK.

He developed Lung US guidelines and protocol for the unit and have also written an e-book for the same. Currently working on an e-book encompassing all the branches of neonatal Point of care Ultrasound.

Dr Praveen Kishore

Dr Praveen Kishore is a Consultant Neonatologist at the Trevor Mann Baby Unit regional NICU, at University Hospitals Sussex ,Brighton.In the UK, he has trained extensively in neonatology at tertiary neonatal intensive care units in Bristol, Southampton and Portsmouth. He also trained in paediatric cardiology at Southampton Children’s hospital, with a special interest in Neonatal cardiology and haemodynamics.

He is an instructor on the RCUK ARNI and NLS courses.He has a keen interest in medical education and simulation training with a special interest in human factors and role of structured debriefing in simulation.

Dr. Nadya Yousef

Dr Nadya Yousef is senior consultant neonatologist and deputy head of the NICU at Paris Saclay University Hospitals in Paris, France. Her special interest areas include point-of-care ultrasound and the use of simulation-based training to improve patient security and quality of care. Dr Yousef is a pioneer in the field of neonatal lung ultrasound and has published extensively on the subject. She directs a course on neonatal and pediatric lung ultrasound in Paris

Dr Yousef is a founding member of the French group for pediatric lung ultrasound (GEPP), a member of the ESPNIC POCUS working group and the ESPNIC POCUS certification board. She is co-author of the international ESPNIC POCUS guidelines
